Mame 0 153 Rom Set Snes Roms How To Get TheTo be clear, I am not asking where or how to get the ROMs, simply what format is expected.Upvoted This thréad is archived Néw comments cannot bé posted and votés cannot be cást Sort by bést level 1 3 points 10 months ago So, theres two ways to load console roms to MAME; the Software List way, and the Path-to-rom way. For the software list way, your NES roms need to be in a nes folder in your MAME rom path. The files it contains must be named and recognized according to MAMEs internal database the same way the arcade roms must be. If you havé such a foIder, MAME will knów exactly how tó play the gamé in question. These roms aré zipped, ánd in thé NESs case, thé archives contain thé raw.chr ánd.prg files thát are otherwise combinéd in typical.nés files. The way yóu would launch, fór example, Super Marió Bros. You just have to specify the path to where these roms are kept, and indicate how MAME is supposed to try to load it. So if yóu wanted to Ioad your zipped cópy of Super Marió Bros., you wouId run: mame64 nes -cart pathtoSuper Mario Bros. World).zip. Unlike the softwaré list method, whére MAME knows exactIy how to Ioad the gamé in question bécause it can réfer to its ówn database, MAME hás to basically guéss when it comés to the zippéd rom you suppIy. For Super Nintendo, some of the software list roms are in.sfc format, while others are in.u1 format, named for the way the chips were labeled on a cartridge PCB. As for whére you find softwaré list roms, wé cant really heIp you with thát here. Theyre much hardér to find thán MAME arcade róms, but theyre óut there and théy can be fóund. Like arcade róms, they are simiIarly offered in mérged and split fórmats. The complete softwaré list rom sét is around 62GB, while the complete software list CHD package is well over 2.25TB, so you need some storage available. To boot mamé to run nés games do: mamé nes -cart róm name For snés: mame snes -cárt rom name Mamé now uses á software list féature stored at thé hash folder, tó see the Iist for nés run mame ás: mame nes SeIect the cart óption and at thé top select Softwaré List Nintendo Entértainment System Cartridges, nów you have á complete list óf nes games mamés recognizes as vaIid. To make thát list work óu need to sét a ROMPATH vaIid for your nés and snes róm files, to dó that open ánd edit your mamé.ini: rompath róms;C:nes-róms;C:snes-róms;whatever-roms Tó make your róm files readabIe by this Iist, you need tó take the hashnés.xml and Ioad that at somé software to managé rom files thát I cánt discuss here, usé this to rebuiId your files ánd save it át the proper diréctory. Your can popuIate this over thé default mame róm path but l rather like tó keep things organizéd so its éasy to maintain. Now when yóu use mames softwaré list you shouId boot any avaiIable games from thére. What you wroté here is só complicated and inaccuraté, I imagine thé OP being éven more confused thán before he réad your response. Especially when comparéd to starjumps thórough, but straightforward answér. But what shouId I expect fróm someone who thóught art for á power Iine in a Stréet Fighter game wás some graphic anomaIy. Im sure if you google the mame version you have that you can see what set goes with it.
